How Reminders and Alerts Work

Reminders and alerts in Metro Rides allow users to be notified if new ride matches are found, and to receive reminders to log commutes.

1. Commute Report Reminders

   Use this reminder to help you log your commutes. Logging commutes is beneficial to see commuting trends.

   Sign up to receive a reminder to report your commute

   • Choose how often and what time of day
   • Via email or text
   • Message has link that comes back to the commute calendar
   • Works on web browsers and mobile devices



2. New Match Alerts

   Use the match alert to help keep you updated when new matches are available within Metro Rides. It keeps you informed without needing to log into the system to find matches.

   Set the system to keep looking for carpool and vanpools

   • Metro Rides tracks all the carpool and vanpool matches you've ever seen
   • Re-runs your match automatically
   • Notifies you by text or email when you have a new match
   • Works for regular commutes for carpool and vanpool searches
